While driving, stress and frustration can affect safe driving and pose the risk of causing traffic accidents. Therefore, it is important to control the driver’s anxiety level in order to improve the driving experience. In this paper, we propose and implement an intelligent system based on fuzzy logic (FL) for deciding the driver’s anxiety level (DAL). In order to investigate the effects of the considered parameters and compare the evaluation results, we implement two models: DAL Model 1 (DALM1) and DAL Model 2 (DALM2). The input parameters of DALM1 include driving experience (DE), in-car environment conditions (IECs), and driver age (DA), while for DALM2, we add a new parameter called the accident anxiety state (AAS). For both models, the output parameter is DAL. We carried out many simulations and compared the results of DALM1 and DALM2. The evaluation results show that the DAL is very good for drivers’ ages between 30 to 50 years old. However, when the driver’s age is below 30 or above 50, DAL tends to decline. With an increase in DE and IECs, the DAL value is decreased. But when the AAS is increased, the DAL is increased. DALM2 is more complex because the rule base is larger than DALM1, but it makes a better decision of DAL value.

The development of various communication technologies has made it possible to connect any intelligent device with each other and to the Internet. However, with the proliferation of such devices, the need for dynamic networks that require less efforts in managing and optimizing end users experience is mounting at a fast pace. Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) are a good choice not only to meeting users demands but also to reducing maintenance and upfront costs. Nevertheless, deploying a reliable highly connected WMN at low cost requires the utilization of the least possible mesh routers, yet fully interconnected and able to cover all mesh clients. To cope with these challenges, we have previously implemented a hybrid intelligent system, called WMN-PSODGA, which combines two intelligent algorithms: Particle Swarm Optimization and Distributed Genetic Algorithm. In this paper, we consider Boulevard and Stadium distributions of mesh clients and evaluate the performance of the WMN for different router replacement methods. By comparing the simulation results for each distribution and router replacement method, we conclude that the best scenario in terms of client coverage, router connectivity and load balancing is Stadium distribution with Rational Decrement of Vmax Method as a router replacement method.

The advent of industry 5.0 has seen technologies such as cyber-physical systems, sensors, mobile devices and a host of others, connected to the Internet of Things (IoT). The sheer growth of the IoT and the data transmitted across it calls for faster speeds (speedup), which in turn are facilitated by more bandwidth and better use of existing bandwidth. Speedup itself is not new and has been extensively studied in the literature in high performance computing and related fields. In this paper, some methods to achieve theoretical speedup in network communications are explored and tested using simulations and extrapolations. We also explored the theoretical limits of speedup. Some theoretical limits of speedup are also proposed, along with a model to estimate the speedup that can be achieved using larger container sizes over the existing bandwidth. We have also proposed a way to estimate the speedup that can be achieved when more bandwidth is provided using multiple fungible and non-fungible paths. It is anticipated that our proposed speedup model will assist the manufacturers of IoT sensors and smart devices, as well as network administrators and software developers in determining what theoretical speedup can be achieved with a certain network configuration, and in building devices and software capable to achieve practical speedups as close as possible to the predicted theoretical speedups. This in turn will lead to faster response and data transmission times in IoT and other network applications that leverage the speedup achieved.

In this paper, we evaluate the impact of multiple flows on various delivery methods in Delay/Disruption/Disconnection Tolerant Networking (DTN), focusing particularly on the Dynamic Threshold-based Anti-packet Generation (DTAG) recovery method, which is applied in vehicular environments with grid road maps. The DTAG method strategically minimizes node storage usage by regulating the creation of new bundle messages around vehicles. This approach allows the generation of anti-packets at intermediate nodes and effectively manages data flow before the bundles reach their final destinations. In this evaluation, we compare the proposed DTAG recovery method performance with two protocols: Epidemic and Spray and Wait (SpW). The simulation results have shown that DTAG-Epidemic achieves 100% delivery ratio with 50 nodes and consistently maintains over 98% in other DTAG scenarios demonstrating its high performance. The DTAG-Epidemic can reduce overhead compared to traditional Epidemic, while DTAG-SpW maintains consistent overhead regardless the number of nodes due to its replication constraints.

In this paper, we propose a routing protocol for Opportunistic Networks (OppNets) that leverages Fuzzy Logic (FL) to optimize message delivery in highly dynamic environments. Our system utilizes key parameters such as buffer occupancy, angle to the destination, and the number of unique connections to make intelligent routing decisions, enhancing the adaptability and efficiency of the network. Through simulations, we compare the performance of our FL-based protocol with existing protocols considering delivery probability and overhead. Our proposed FL-system shows good results in delivery probability and reduces network overhead, especially in scenarios with high node density. This study highlights the potential of FL in enhancing the reliability and performance of routing protocols in OppNets, offering a robust solution for real-world applications where conventional communication infrastructures are unavailable or impractical.

One of the most challenging aspects of designing Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) is the optimal placement of mesh routers, which is classified as an NP-hard problem. To deal with this issue, we propose and implement a hybrid simulation system by combining Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Distributed Genetic Algorithm (DGA) called WMN-PSODGA. We utilize six Router Replacement Methods (RRMs) to optimize the placement of mesh routers in a small-scale WMN considering the Boulevard distribution of mesh clients. Simulation results by WMN-PSODGA show that all six RRMs achieved 100% connectivity, but they performed differently regarding the coverage of mesh clients. Among six RRMs, the Fast Convergence Rational Decrement of Vmax Method (FC-RDVM) demonstrated the best convergence performance.

The optimization of mesh routers in Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) is very important in order to ensure high connectivity and better coverage. In our previous work we implemented a hybrid simulation system based on intelligent algorithms called WMN-PSOHCDGA. We investigated the performance for different scenarios and found that some mesh routers were concentrated in different areas. In this paper, we assess the performance of a small scale WMN for different number of mesh routers and Subway distribution of mesh clients considering Blend Crossover (BLX-α) and Simplex Crossover (SPX). While as mesh router replacement method is utilized the Fast Convergence Rational Decrement of Vmax Method (FC-RDVM). We consider two scenarios for 16 and 10 mesh routers and three evaluation metrics: connectivity, coverage and load balancing. The evaluation results show that even for 10 mesh routers was possible to connect all mesh routers and cover all mesh clients for both crossover methods. Considering load balancing, for both scenarios SPX has better performance than BLX-α.

In electronics manufacturing, manual soldering is a very important process for deciding the quality and reliability of products. Thus, this process requires skilled workers to use precise techniques. However, there are always hazards such as burns or accidents, which should be avoided to make the process safe. Ensuring the safety in manufacturing industry and plants is essential for managing the risk of accidents due to human error, especially at sites where much of the work requires manual labor. Even with the advance of automation, there are still many processes that require manual labor and they rely heavily on the skill and attention of the workers. These processes should be checked and controlled by site supervisor, but this can affect the supervisor’s own work efficiency and concentration. In this paper, we propose a skeletal estimation based motion analysis system for danger prediction during soldering process. We carried our many simulations and experiments to evaluate the proposed system. The evaluation results show that the proposed system can predict dangerous motions based on three-dimensional coordinates of a worker upper body and can be used successfully for safe soldering in factories.

In this paper, we propose a human sleep detection system based on a low-resolution thermal camera and Adaptive-Network-Based Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS). The proposed system is implemented on a microcomputer and detects a human sleeping by using thermal camera and checking the human state for a certain period of time. If a dozing off situation is detected, the system uses a buzzer to send alert sound to prevent the situation. We prepared the training dataset for ANFIS by defining sleep and other postures. From the experimental results, we found that the proposed system can classify whether a user is in a sleeping state or not with high accuracy.

     詳細を見る

The handover process introduces new and complex challenges in the 5G/Beyond 5G (B5G) wireless networks. Unlike previous generations, users in 5G/B5G networks do not only transit between different base stations or access technologies but also across various Network Slices (NSs). These slices are selected based on the user’s specific requirements and preferences. Therefore, the constraints on NS must be taken into account to ensure that handover decisions adequately satisfy user demands. This paper proposes a fuzzy-based system for handover management, incorporating four parameters: Slice Delay (SD), Slice Bandwidth (SB), Slice Stability (SS), and Slice Active Time (SAT), which is a new parameter. The simulation results indicate that these parameters have different impacts on the Handover Decision (HD). The increase of SD leads to the increase of the HD parameter, while the increase of SB, SS and SAT values leads to the decrease of HD value.

For safe driving and decrasing the risk of traffic accidents, it is important to control the driver mental status. In this paper, we implement an intelligent system based on Fuzzy Logic (FL) for deciding Driver Mental Status (DMS). We call this system FL-based DMS System (FLDMSS). The input parameters for FLDMSS are Driver Anxiety Level (DAL), Traffic Situation (TS) and Driving Operating Time (DOT). The output parameter is DMS. We evaluated the implemented system by computer simulations. The simulation results show that DMS is very good when the driving operating time is short. With increasing of DAL and DOT values, the DMS value is decreased. But when TS is good, the DMS value is increased.

Wireless mesh networks (WMNs) can provide wireless services across a wide area. However, mesh router placement in WMNs is a challenging task and is classified as NP-hard problem. In this research work, we propose and implement a hybrid simulation system to optimize mesh router placement in WMNs based on Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Hill Climbing (HC) and Distributed Genetic Algorithm (DGA). We implemented in our system Simplex Crossover (SPX) method which we compare the performance with Unimodal Normal Distribution Crossover (UNDX) method considering three router replacement methods: Constriction Method (CM), Random Inertia Weight Method (RIWM) and Fast Convergence Rational Decreasing Vmax Method (FC-RDVM). We carried out simulations for Two islands distribution of mesh clients. The simulation results show that all mesh routers are connected and all clients are covered for both crossover methods. However, the UNDX method has better load balancing than SPX method. Comparing three router replacement methods, the RIWM has better load balancing than CM and FC-RDVM for both UNDX and SPX crossover methods.

The propulsion system in multirotor Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) affects the flight speed, operating time and payload of UAVs. The propulsion system consists of a motor, propeller, electronic speed controller, power distribution board and battery. When implementing a multirotor UAV, the selection of components is very important in order to achieve the operational objectives. Among the components, the propulsion system significantly affects the operation time of UAVs. In the component selection process, the components should be combined to meet the required performance. Also, it should be considered the compatibility between components. This requires much time and effort to select the appropriate combination of components. Therefore, it is needed an efficient method for selection of most suitable components for achieving the operation objectives. In this paper, we propose an optimisation method based on Hill Climbing (HC) algorithm for selecting the components of a propulsion system in a multirotor UAVs. For simulation of component selection we considered three types of multirotor UAVs: quadrotor, hexacopter and octocopter. The evaluation results show that each component is compatible and the proposed system selected a good combination of components.

The Direct Injection (DI) is used by electric bass guitar players during live house performances and recordings. A DI is an impedance converter for connecting an instrument such as an electric guitar, electric bass guitar, or electronic keyboard directly to a mixer or interface. When an electric bass guitars output is connected to a DI, the mixer or loudspeaker may be damaged when the volume is high and is generated loud noise. Therefore, Public Address (PA) engineers shut off the input signal to the mixer. There is a rule that the electric bass guitar should only be connected after signaling to the engineer during live performances and recordings. However, beginners or people who do not know the rules sometimes connect an electric bass guitar without signaling the engineer and the mixer and speakers are sometimes destroyed by the loud noise input. In this paper, we propose a real-time volume control based on fuzzy system for electric bass guitars to prevent damage to equipment such as mixers and loudspeakers. The experimental results show that the proposed system is able to automatically control the volume of electric bass guitar when playing sound.

In recent years, floods caused by overflowing rivers due to heavy rains have caused significant damages. To prevent human casualties in the event of a disaster, it is necessary to provide appropriate information for prompt evacuation. However, in general the municipalities that provide evacuation information use low computational resource computers. So, there is a risk that the servers will overload by concentration of evacuees when a disaster occurs, causing delays or stoppages of evacuation information. Therefore, clustering of computers with low computational resources as a single computational resource is very important. Also, the continuous provision of map image of evacuated areas can be possible by adaptively compressing map image based on the server load condition. In this paper, we propose a Fuzzy-based system for decision of the compressed map image degree of evacuated areas during disasters using cluster load level. The experimental results show that the proposed system can change the compression of map image of evacuated areas according to the load level of the cluster system. Also, the evacuation route information displayed in the map image of evacuated areas is sufficiently readable.

This paper introduces an innovative system that uses Fuzzy Logic (FL) to detect recognition errors in Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs). The system considers various input parameters to assess recognition errors in VANETs. In our previous work, we considered three parameters: Internal and External Distraction, Driver’s Inattention, and Inadequate Surveillance. In this paper, we consider Inattentive Driving as a new parameter. By employing FL, we model complex relationships and uncertainties in different situations. This approach transforms multifaceted input data into actionable insights regarding recognition error likelihood. We consider both driver-related and external factors, which affect the recognition accuracy. The simulation results show that the proposed system effectively captures different driver attention situations and environmental conditions. The proposed system can enhance VANET performance by enabling more adaptive and responsive vehicular communication in dynamic road environments.

This paper introduces a novel system for recognition error detection in Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs) using Fuzzy Logic (FL). The proposed system leverages a comprehensive set of input parameters, including Internal and External Distraction, Driver’s Inattention, and Inadequate Surveillance, to effectively evaluate and mitigate potential errors in vehicle recognition and response. In order to recognize the critical role of driver behavior and external factors in shaping road safety, we employ FL to model the intricate relationships and uncertainties inherent in such contexts. By incorporating linguistic variables and a rule-based inference mechanism, the system transforms the multidimensional input parameters into actionable insights regarding the likelihood of recognition errors. The distinctive contribution of this research lies in its holistic consideration of both driver-related and external variables, encompassing a wide spectrum of influences on recognition accuracy. Through simulatio validation, our proposed system demonstrates its efficacy in capturing subtle variations in driver attention and environmental conditions. Ultimately, the FL-based recognition error system holds significant promise in advancing the capabilities of VANETs, paving the way for more adaptive and responsive vehicular communication systems that prioritize safety in dynamic road environments.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are utilized in various fields such as aerial shots, transportation, spraying chemicals in agriculture and surveys of plant growth in forestry. In particular, aerial photography by drones is used for 3D surveying. Compared to surveying from the ground, 3D surveying with a drone provides more accurate surveying and a wider area can be surveyed in a shorter period of time. Also, drones can be used to survey inaccessible areas while flying. The point cloud data obtained from 3D surveying are used in various fields such as topographical surveying, disaster assessment, and archaeological site surveying. Currently, the Structure from Motion (SfM) is the most widely used 3D surveying method in terms of technology and price. The SfM is a 3D surveying technique that uses multiple images of an object. Therefore, it is important that the captured images contain many feature points and an appropriate focal distance. In this paper, we propose a fuzzy control based imaging position decision method and 3D measurement method using 2DLiDAR. The experimental results show that the proposed system can provide 3D measurement using 2DLiDAR and can decide imaging position based on fuzzy control.

In general, the accidents are often attributed to the decline of driving skills and reduced attention among the aging population. Moreover, the rise of infotainment features in vehicles has led to loss of concentration while driving. To address this issue, we previously developed an intelligent driver assistance system to identify instances of distracted driving. This paper focuses on enhancing the detection accuracy of distracted driving by utilizing an upgraded version of our system equipped with different detectors. The system is designed to recognize various distracted driving behaviors, particularly focusing on the driver hand movements. From the evaluation, we observed that while models like YOLOv8 show improvements in detecting specific actions like steering wheel and IVI operations, challenges remain in accurately identifying other crucial activities such as cell phone usage and general hand movements.

Wireless Visual Sensor Networks (WVSNs) have a mesh mechanism, which enables a wide area imaging and image collection is done through multi-hop communication between multiple sensor nodes equipped with visual sensors. Therefore, they can be used for monitoring infrastructure facilities and rivers. However, the placement of sensor nodes has a significant impact on the connectivity and transmission loss of wireless communication in WVSNs and the imaging range of visual sensors is limited. Thus, it is necessary to find the optimum sensor node arrangement and imaging direction of the visual sensors in order to cover all events within the monitoring area. In this paper, we propose an intelligent system for optimizing sensor node placement in WVSNs. The proposed system integrates two methods for sensor node placement by considering the number of events within the imaging range of the visual sensor and the imaging direction of the visual sensor. To evaluate the proposed method, computer simulations are performed for two scenarios with uniform and normal distribution of events. The simulatione results show that the proposed method maximizes the Size of Giant Compponent (SGC) and all sensor nodes are connected. From the visualization results, we found that in CCM-based SA, the nodes are spread over a wider area and all events are covered within the imaging range of the visual sensor.

Therefore, pointing and calling are implemented at production sites to reduce human error and prevent accidents. This method can be used for detecting processing deficiencies and confirming the number of products to be shipped. The human-to-human and human-to-devices communications are becoming increasingly intricate and unpredictable, which complicate the decision-making in different scenarios. So, many researcher are developing methods for assessing the trustworthiness of these kinds of communications. The Logical Trust (LT) is one crucial concept in trust computing that refer to the level of trust or confidence that an individual or system has in order to protect data, systems, or communications. In this paper, we introduce a Fuzzy-based system for evaluating LT, considering four parameters: Belief (Be), Experience (Ep), Rationality (Ra) and Reliability (Re), which is a new parameter. We evaluate the proposed system by computer simulations. We investigate the effect of each input parameter on the performance of the implemented system. The simulation results show the LT parameter increases when Be, Ep, Ra and Re are increasing. When Be and Ep values are 0.9 for all Ra and Re values, the LT values are more than 0.5, indicating that the people or devices are trustworthy.

They can be used to monitor infrastructure facilities and rivers. However, the placement of sensor nodes has a significant impact on wireless communication connectivity and transmission loss. In addition, the imaging range of visual sensors is limited, which limits the area that can be imaged by the WVSN. Therefore, to cover all events with the imageable range of the WVSN, it is necessary to decide the optimal placement of sensor nodes in the WVSN and the imaging direction of the visual sensors. Since sensor nodes may be densely placed, it is needed to extend the communication range of sensor nodes and the range over which visual sensors are able to image the entire target area. In this paper, we propose an intelligent system based on CCM, SA and Finite Difference Time Domain Method (FDTD) for sensor node placement optimization in WVSN. Globally, there are many people with disabilities. Recently, a variety of facilities and equipment have been innovated, catering not only the disabled individuals but also the aging population. Among these, the wheelchair is one of the most commonly utilized tools in diverse scenarios for disabled and elderly individuals. In this paper, we deal with the safety assurance of omniditectional wheelchair robot for playing badminton. We conducted experiments to control multiple omnidirectional robots and prevent collisions. We conducted experiments by placing reference points, where the robot should pass through with an error margin of a few centimeters at 1 [m] intervals. Additionally, we investigated the trajectory when the reference points were set at 50 [cm] intervals and when there are no reference points. The evaluation results in case when we did not use intervals are better than other results (when using point intervals of 0.5 [m] and 1 [m]).

We consider UNDX-m crossover method and Stadium distribution of mesh clients. Then, we perform simulations for small and middle scale WMNs. In case of both scales of WMNs, for both methods (LDIWM and FC-RDVM), all mesh routers are connected. Considering NCMC, for small scale WMNs, in case of LDIWM all mesh clients are covered, while for FC-RDVM four mesh clients are not covered. However, for middle scale WMNs and both methods, all mesh clients are covered. While, considering load balancing, for both scales of WMNs, LDIWM has a better loading balancing than FC-RDVM.

Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) are effective networks because they have high-robustness and rapid deployment capabilities. However, they have have some issues such as congestion, interference, diminished data transfer speeds, packet losses, and increased latency. In order to solve this problem, we propose and implement an intelligent simulation system based on Cuckoo Search (CS) algorithm, which is a meta-heuristic approach. In this work, we evaluate the performance of WMN-CS system considering Normal, Stadium, Subway and Uniform distributions of mesh clients. The simulation results show that the distribution of mesh clients affects the performance of WMN-CS. The Normal distribution achieves a faster convergence compared to the other distributions. Comparing Stadium and Subway distributions, the Stadium distribution converges faster than the Subway distribution. Unlike typical recovery methods that use anti-packets, the DTAG approach reduces node storage usage by considering the number of new bundle messages around vehicles. The DTAG has the ability to generate anti-packets at intermediate nodes before the bundle messages reach their end-point. The simulation results have shown that a high delivery rate can be maintained while storage usage and overhead are reduced, even when network flow increases.

In Peer-to-Peer (P2P) networks, the peers should collaborate with trustworthy neighboring peers. However, it should be noted that in real applications, the peer may be faulty, which may make a wrong decision. For safe communication, the peers should be reliable. The reliability can be evaluated by the interaction of a peer with other peers but this procedure needs many parameters. In this paper, in order to make a qualitative evaluation, we implement a Fuzzy-based system and for quantitative evaluation we build another simulation system by taking into account the correlation coefficients and ns-3 simulator. Three parameters Packet Loss (PL), Delay Time (DT) and Throughput (TG) are considered for the evaluation of both systems. For Fuzzy-based system, the output is Peer Selection Decision (PSD). From the simulations results of FL-based system, we conclude that when PL and DL are increasing, the PSD is decreased. While, when TG is increased, the PSD is increased. By ns-3 simulator results, we found that by using the value of correlation coefficients is possible to select the best reliable peers.

Generally, they are installed outdoors and water levels vary depending on weather conditions. By monitoring water level in water reservoir tanks, the flooding can be predicted and flood damage can be mitigated. The water level is usually measured by a water level gauge. In general, installing the water level gauge is difficult due to the construction environment of the water reservoir tanks. In the manufacturing field, the soldering process of brazing electronic components into circuit boards and the milling process of using cutting tools to remove unnecessary parts from materials are part of the manual labor process. To ensure worker safety and improve product quality in the many tasks performed by humans, studies are promoting the collection and analysis of worker motion data. Non-contact sensing systems consider camera to capture images of the worker and detects the worker posture and dangerous movements by utilizing skeletal estimation and object recognition. However for the analysis, the worker body should be completely within the cameras angle of view. If the worker body is outside the camera angle of view or is only partially captured, the data necessary for analysis will still be lost. To capture the motion of the whole body of a worker, multiple cameras using a network of cameras are used in some cases, while in limited environments it is also important to acquire the motion data by a monocular camera. In this paper, we propose a simulation system for decision of camera angle of view and placement. We compare the simulation end experimental results. The evaluation results we conclude that the proposed system can effectively decide the camera placement and angle.

They may cause extensive damage to residential areas and infrastructure, increasing the need for rapid and appropriate evacuation action to prevent human casualties. Despite the fact that accurate information provision and rapid evacuation guidance are essential immediately after a disaster, the fast and wide area restoration of networks is very important in order that different entities communicate together. Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) are communication infrastructure, which use multiple mesh routers for communication. Even some network links may fail, the WMN can maintain the network and communication through other mesh routers. Also, they can continuously provide stable wireless communication even in the event of a disaster. In this paper, we propose a mesh router placement optimization system for three-dimensional environments. In simulations, we consider Normal and Uniform distributions of mesh clients. We carried out many simimulation scenarios, but we used the same number of mesh routers in order to make a fair comparison. However, we found that in many cases some routers were concentrated in some areas. So, it is possible to use less number of mesh routers to cover all mesh clients. We carry out simulations for three router replacement methods: Linearly Decreasing Inertia Weight Method (LDIWM), Linearly Decreasing Vmax Method (LDVM) and Fast Convergence Rational Decrement of Vmax Method (FC-RDVM) and two scenarios where the number of mesh routers is 10 and 16. We evaluate the performance for these two scenarious considering three metrics: Size of Giant Component (SGC), Number of Covered Mesh Clients (NCMC) and Number of Covered Mesh Clients per Router (NCMCpR).

The Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) are a very good innovative technolog. They can provide enhanced scalability, flexibility, and robustness, making them ideal for a wide range of applications. However, WMNs have several challenges such as efficient routing, maintaining network security, managing scalability, and mitigating interference. Addressing these challenges is crucial for improving the performance and reliability of WMNs in practical deployments. The deployment of mesh routers at appropriate locations is important to deal with these issues. However, finding the best locations of mesh routers in WMNs is difficult and is classified as NP-hard problem. There are some studies that considers meta-heuristic algorithms for optimization of mesh routers in WMNs. Some of them use simple intelligent algorithms. In this paper, we propose and implement a hybrid simulation system based on Particle Swarm Oprimization (PSO) and Genetic Algorithm (GA) using Linearly Decreasing Inertia Weight Method (LDIWM), Random Inertia Weight Method (RIWM) and Fast Convergence Rational Decrement of Vmax Method (FC-RDVM). We consider Boulevard distribution of mesh clients and a small scale WMN. The simulation results show that for Boulevard distribution, LDIWMs, RIWMs, and FC-RDVMs provide 100% connectivity. However, they have different performance for NCMC parameter. The convergence of NCMC for FC-RDVM is better than LDIWM and RIWM and is 100%. Thus, the performance of FC-RDVM is better compared with other two methods.

In many operations performed by people using tools, worker safety is required to prevent burns, cuts and other injuries. Therefore, the workers movement data should be collected and analyzed in order to provide safe environment. Non-contact sensing systems include methods that use cameras to capture images of workers or products and use skeletal estimation and object recognition to detect dangerous movements of workers and product conditions. For carrying out the data analysis, the worker and object should be within the camera view-angle. Therefore, the camera placement is crucial for capturing workers movements and object state accurately. In this paper, we propose a camera placement system in order to carry out motion analysis and object recognition. From the simulation and experimental results, we found that by deciding the camera placement and angle of view, the proposed system can be used for motion analysis and object recognition. Also, the proposed system is an effective system for improving the recognition accuracy and detection rate of humans and objects.
